We are looking to appoint highly motivated, resourceful and committed Teaching Assistants to work in our school with pupils with Special Educational Needs.  Three Ways School is an Academy Trust, operating as a generic Community Special School.  Three Ways is divided into 3 departments’ primary, secondary and sixth form, to enable curriculum delivery and expectations that are age appropriate to all pupils.

 

The school is a Specialist School for Physical and Sensory.  It is also a School of Creativity.  We offer the full National Curriculum as a basis for curriculum development and add to this a wide range of additional activities for personal and social growth. All pupils are encouraged and supported to access learning and achieve the highest possible standards.

 

The posts are part-time term-time only working patterns available are 10am – 2pm Monday to Friday, or  0830 – 1530 either 2 or 3 days per week. Including school training days. We require individuals who are adaptable, confident and preferably have experience of working in a school with pupils with special educational needs.  We have fixed term contract posts available starting ASAP and ending 31 August 2019.  

 

The salary range for the posts are SCP 14 – 19 £17681 - £19446pa pro rata – starting salary will normally be the post minimum (actual starting salary for 20 hours per week term-time only would be £8174pa).

Class Teacher - Maternity Cover

Three Ways School is an Outstanding (Ofsted 2015) Academy, operating as a generic Special School situated in the Georgian City of Bath.  The school provides for children with a wide range of Special Educational Needs.  The School is divided into 3 departments; Primary, Secondary and Sixth Form, to enable curriculum delivery and expectations that are age appropriate to all pupils. We are looking to appoint an outstanding teacher to teach pupils across the school who have a range of complex special educational needs. The post will involve teaching in a range of primary classes including EarlyYears.  This is a temporary appointment to cover for maternity leave.

We would welcome applications from teachers who have experience of SEN or teachers from mainstream schools who have the capacity to develop their skills. We would also welcome applications from NQTs. Training and support provided.

• is experienced and/or interested in SEN practices and provision with extensive knowledge of how to meet the needs of pupils with SEN or the capacity to gain this quickly

TA Supply

At Three Ways School we have a Supply Register for Teaching Assistants who are looking for casual work.  We are currently looking to increase our pool of supply TAs and are looking for resourceful and committed Teaching Assistants.  Supply TAs will work on a casual supply basis to cover for staff absences.  Appointed candidates may be called at short-notice to provide TA Cover within the School. We require individuals who are adaptable, confident and preferably have experience of working in a school with pupils with special educational needs although training and full induction is given. TAs on our supply register will be paid on hourly rate of approx. £8.70per hour for the actual hours worked. We are ideally looking for people who are flexible and able to cover from 8.30am to 3.30pm and who preferably could come in to cover Absence if called from 7.30am.

Once your application form has been received we will contact you for a tour of school and an interview. If you are a successful candidate we will then complete pre-employment checks (Right to work in the UK, DBS Check, Pre-employment Medical & 2 Satisfactory References).

For your DBS you will need to bring with you three items of documentary evidence of identity, e.g. driving licence, passport, birth certificate and a utility bill or bank statement less than three months old.  Also bring evidence of National Insurance number (payslip may contain it).  We will also require evidence of the qualifications you hold Please bring in your original qualification certificates.  These documents must be originals - please hand to the office for copying the day of Tour and Interview.

Please note, we cannot guarantee a set amount of cover per week, although in general those on the supply list have been utilised on a regular basis.

January 2018 – we are actively looking for Teaching Assistants to join our supply list.

Please note, the employment process for supply staff can take 6 – 8 weeks.

Cleaner

We are looking to recruit a cleaner to work within our school.  We require 10 hours per week 2 hours per day from 3:30pm to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday term-time and one week during the summer holidays

This is a permanent post at  £8.55 per hour.

An enhanced DBS Certificate is required for this post.
