Three Ways School is an Outstanding (Ofsted 2015) Academy, operating as a generic Special School situated in the Georgian City of Bath. The school provides for children with a wide range of Special Educational Needs. The School is divided into 3 departments; Primary, Secondary and Sixth Form, to enable curriculum delivery and expectations that are age appropriate to all pupils. The school is a Specialist School for Physical and Sensory. It is also a School of Creativity. We offer the full National Curriculum as a basis for curriculum development and add to this a wide range of additional activities for personal and social growth.
We are looking to appoint an outstanding teacher to teach pupils across the school who have a range of complex special educational needs. The post will be within the secondary department.
We would welcome applications from teachers who have experience of SEN or teachers from mainstream schools who have the capacity to develop their skills.
We are looking for an outstanding teacher who:
• is experienced and/or interested in SEN practices and provision with extensive knowledge of how to meet the needs of pupils with SEN or the capacity to gain this quickly
• Has a great deal of enthusiasm and can motivate and inspire all pupils to learn
• Has excellent communication skills
• Has an interest in teaching a range of subjects.

At Three Ways School we have a Supply Register for Teaching Assistants who are looking for casual work. We are currently looking to increase our pool of supply TAs and are looking for resourceful and committed Teaching Assistants. Supply TAs will work on a casual supply basis to cover for staff absences. Appointed candidates may be called at short-notice to provide TA Cover within the School. We require individuals who are adaptable, confident and preferably have experience of working in a school with pupils with special educational needs although training and full induction is given. TAs on our supply register will be paid on hourly rate of approx. £8.70per hour for the actual hours worked. We are ideally looking for people who are flexible and able to cover from 8.30am to 3.30pm and who preferably could come in to cover Absence if called from 7.30am.

Once your application form has been received we will contact you for a tour of school and an interview. If you are a successful candidate we will then complete pre-employment checks (Right to work in the UK, DBS Check, Pre-employment Medical & 2 Satisfactory References).
For your DBS you will need to bring with you three items of documentary evidence of identity, e.g. driving licence, passport, birth certificate and a utility bill or bank statement less than three months old. Also bring evidence of National Insurance number (payslip may contain it). We will also require evidence of the qualifications you hold Please bring in your original qualification certificates. These documents must be originals - please hand to the office for copying the day of Tour and Interview.
Please note, we cannot guarantee a set amount of cover per week, although in general those on the supply list have been utilised on a regular basis.
