Your Personal Assistant will help you to decide what to do after you leave school. They can tell you all about your choices such as going to college, looking for a job or finding voluntary work. In order to help you, they need to get to know you, so they will talk to you about what you enjoy doing in your spare time, how you are getting on at school, what help you need and your ideas about the future. To do this, they will see you at school, come to your review meetings and talk to your parents/carers, teachers, TAs and other people that are important to you. When you have decided what you want to do next after leaving school, your PA will help you to move on.
If you would like to talk to your PA, ask your teacher to contact them.
Sometimes young people face situations in their lives and they don’t know who they can turn to.
Sometimes it can be hard to turn to those who know so much about you already.
Shout Out! is an independent service run by Off the Record that helps young people to express their wishes and feelings, in whatever way that
might be possible. If there is something they want to say, or something they want to START, STOP or CHANGE, then we can support them in doing that.
We can’t promise to make everything better in an instant but we CAN make sure that everything is tried and that the young person is listened to
Shout Out! is providing a drop-in service in Three Ways School that will run each week. To see an Advocate young people can ask their teacher or put their name on a slip and put it in the Shout Out! box in reception.
